What are TreeBird products made from?
Many TreeBird products are made from Corten weathering steel, a durable material designed to develop a natural rust-colored patina when exposed to the elements. This protective surface gradually changes in tone and texture over time, giving each piece a unique, aged appearance while helping protect the steel beneath.

Can they stay outside year-round?
Our outdoor products are designed to handle normal outdoor conditions throughout the year. As with any outdoor product, exposure to severe weather, salt, moisture, and direct sunlight can affect its appearance over time.

Will they rust or fade?
TreeBird products made from Corten weathering steel are designed to develop a natural rust-colored patina when exposed to the elements. Can I return an item?

What if my order arrives damaged?

Bird Houses

Which birds will use the bird houses?
The birds attracted to a nesting box depend on factors such as entrance-hole size, interior dimensions, mounting height, habitat, and geographic location. Each TreeBird bird house lists its key dimensions along with the bird species it is best suited to accommodate, making it easier to choose the right house for the birds in your area.

Do metal bird houses get hot?
Metal can warm in direct sunlight, which is why TreeBird bird houses include a wood interior liner that helps insulate the nesting cavity from the exterior metal shell and moderate temperature changes. Proper placement is still important, and we recommend avoiding locations with prolonged, intense afternoon sun whenever possible. Ventilation and species-appropriate mounting also help create a more suitable nesting environment.
